I am notorious for starting things and not finishing them...Or maybe I'm only notorious in my own mind for this...I start writing stories...and then just leave them because I get stuck...I start some projects...and procrastinate...or leave them...I start cleaning an area...get discouraged...and move on to something else. I even started a blog in August...and you guessed it...I never finished it. So maybe I should make this blog post short and sweet so it does get finished...
A very wise woman named Marla Cilley AKA "Fly Lady" says it's our perfectionism that stops us from finishing things...as for the writing...my sister who is already writing novels (has written 3 and is waiting to hear back from a publisher) says that she read that writing is a very personal thing...and when we write something...we're putting ourselves out there...opening up our private lives...and that if you find yourself blocked...to just keep writing...no matter if it doesn't make any sense...or doesn't seem to be what you were going through...you can clean it up later.
This blog isn't perfect...but like everything else now...It's a work in progress.
